Let us introduce
Hello, my name is Dellena Hoyer. I am incredibly grateful that I am able to help others for a living! My passion to serve in this field began twenty-eight years ago. I am a licensed and certified counselor through CCAPP for the past 15 years but I have been working in this field for over 25 years. I started working as SAP counselor over 14 years ago with Truck drivers, Pipeline workers, Bus Drivers, Construction workers and other safety sensitive jobs, I love helping them! My other speciality is doing DUI evaluations, or court ordered assessments I am non judgemental and fair in all my evaluations. I do motivational Interviewing with my clients helping them to see if there is a problem what would be the best fit for them and walking them through the process. Most people who are evaluated are not addicted.
I received the Harold Cole Award for Outstanding Contributions in the Field of Substance Abuse, in 2001. Receiving this award grew me immensely, professionally and spiritually.
Through all these opportunities I found out what I do best, and that's helping people to navigate through all the resources regarding the different types of assessment pertaining to Substance Abuse related issues.
I believe that I was chosen to perform this work and I have an immense passion for helping people in times of crisis. Knowing that I have such frequent opportunities to make a difference in the redemptive journey that each person embarks upon is very rewarding. I get to be there to offer support at a time in life when support is most needed.
